Finsphere is fortunate to have a Board of Directors with significant experience in bringing to market highly successful technology ventures. The Board is deeply committed to and involved in the strategic direction of the company. In addition to Mike Buhrmann, the Board of Directors includes:
- Bill Ericson, Partner, MDV: Bill joined MDV in 2000 after more than a decade of working closely with entrepreneurs to start and build innovative businesses in the role of lawyer, board member, entrepreneur and investor. He believes that entrepreneurship is a singularity of the American experience, and strives to help as a key advisor and counselor to great entrepreneurs from the very earliest days of an enterprise. Prior to MDV Bill founded and ran Venture Law Group’s Seattle office. He is particularly proud of being a member of the founding team of Rosetta Inpharmatics and serving on its Board of Directors until its acquisition by Merck in 2001.

Ravi Mohan, Partner, Shasta Ventures: Ravi has focused his entire career on the software business. Prior to co-founding Shasta Ventures, he was a general partner at Battery Ventures where he led eight investments and served on the boards of 12 software and technology-enabled service companies. Prior to Battery Ventures, Ravi built transaction-processing systems at Accenture, sold and implemented packaged software applications for Hyperion Software Corporation, and ran MIC, a software development firm based in India focused on business intelligence solutions for multinational corporations.

Paul Bialek, Partner, Frazier Technology Ventures: Paul has over 25 years experience in financial and operations management. From 1998 to 2001 he served as CFO and senior vice president, finance and operations at RealNetworks (NASDAQ: RNWK). Prior to joining RealNetworks, Paul served as CFO for Metapath Software Corporation, a venture-backed wireless communications software company. From 1993 to 1997, he served as CFO for Edmark Corporation, a Nasdaq listed multimedia software company, which was acquired by IBM in late 1996. Paul began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick, where he spent 11 years serving public and private technology companies. Paul holds a degree in business administration from Seattle University and participates on the advisory board for Seattle University’s Entrepreneurship Center. He is a past director of the Washington Software Association and the Washington Research Foundation..

Melinda Lewison, Principal, Bezos Expeditions: Melinda Lewison is a Principal at Bezos Expeditions, a personal venture capital company of Jeff Bezos. Prior to Bezos Expeditions, Melinda was with Rustic Canyon Partners, a West coast venture capital firm. Melinda spent much of her career in the wireless telecommunications and software industries, including finance and marketing roles at Nextel Partners, Nextel International and Microsoft. Melinda began her career as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers. Melinda earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and she received her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
