Identity Security Services for Access Management
Identity Security Services for Access Management is a set of enterprise (B2B) two-factor authentication solutions in which mobile device location is used to help authenticate the end user and provide security for the enterprise customer’s logical and physical corporate assets, such as personal computing devices, IT systems, networks and customer-facing applications, as well as cloud computing services.
More specifically, upon receiving a request to authenticate an end user, the ISS precision analytics engine generates an identity risk score (MIP Score) based, in part, on the location of the end users mobile device relative to the location of the network / internet access point (IP address). Depending on the application use, mobile location can be captured either from the cellular network or from the mobile handset. In the absence of any other risk indicators, ISS will generate a low MIP Score if the end user’s mobile phone location is proximate to the network access point. If the mobile phone location or network access location is either not available or of insufficient quality, other location-based and non-location-based variables in the analytics model may be used to authenticate an end user.
Flexible Integration
Customers can choose how best to integrate Identity Security Services into their overall layered security approach to enterprise authentication, including
Enterprise User Authentication authenticates end users attempting to access logical or physical corporate assets, such as personal computing devices, IT systems and corporate networks.
Web User Authentication
Web User Authentication authenticates end users during online interactions, such as login events, profile updates or updates to sensitive information in a cloud computing and social networking environments.
